Jean-Pierre is a reseacher at IHD, and is completing his PhD at the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches sur le Développement International in Clermont-Ferrand, France. His research interests include decentralisation and ethnic conflict, and institutions, mobilisation and rebellion.
His main areas of geographical interest include Sub-Saharan Africa and India.
