Researcher: Dr. Julie Litchfield

Julie is Senior Lecturer in Economics at Sussex. The main themes of her research are poverty, inequality and income distribution divided into three strands: the meaning and measurement of poverty and inequality; the analysis of the causes of poverty and inequality; and the analysis of poverty dynamics in the context of economic policy reform.

Her areas of geographical interest include Albania, Brazil, Chile, Vietnam and Zambia.

Julie is leader of the Work Package, 'Poverty, Inequality and Social Exclusion'.

Researcher: Dr. Elodie Douarin

Elodie is a Research Fellow in Economics at Sussex. Her research has mainly been in agricultural economics. Her doctoral research examined the effect of farm payments policies on farmers' strategic decisions focusing on labour and land allocation.

Her areas of geographical interest include France, England and Sweden.
