Tom is an economist whose research principally focusses on the impact of armed conflict and violence on the socio-economic outcomes of households and individuals exposed to it. He is currently completing his PhD thesis entitled, 'Civil War and Economic Development in Burundi, 1993-2007'.
His main geographical area of expertise is Burundi.
